Terms of service

These terms govern the Tomo website and the Tomo mobile application on iOS and Android. How Tomo handles information is explained in the privacy policy.
By using Tomo you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the app.
Who operates Tomo
Tomo is operated by Tomo Studio Ltd, a private company limited by shares and registered in England and Wales. Company number: 17435997. Registered office: 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU.
The service
Tomo is a shared camera for life's special moments. Examples are hangouts, celebrations, days out, weekends away, and trips. People create or join a tomo, record short portrait clips, and the clips from each day are put together into a video. The website currently explains Tomo and does not run a waitlist form.
Tomo may change, pause, or stop features. Tomo does not promise uninterrupted service.
Age
You must be 13 or older to use Tomo. Tomo does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If Tomo Studio Ltd learns that a child under 13 provided personal information, Tomo Studio Ltd will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Accounts
On iPhone you sign in with Apple. On Android you sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may delete your account in the app under You → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing support@gettomo.co. See the privacy policy for what deletion removes.
Your content
You own the clips, photos, names, and other content you add. Other members of a tomo you belong to can watch, save, and export shared videos that include your clips. Copies that someone saves or shares outside Tomo are outside Tomo Studio Ltd's control. You must have the right to record and share what you upload, including permission from people who appear in a clip where that is required.
You grant Tomo Studio Ltd a licence to host, store, play, sync, and recover uploads, and to handle safety, abuse, or legal requests. Tomo Studio Ltd does not browse private clips or videos. The service is not end-to-end encrypted, so cloud providers can process stored account information and content as needed to operate the service. Tomo Studio Ltd may access specific content when required to recover a broken upload, or to handle a safety, abuse, or legal request.
Acceptable use
Do not use Tomo to:
- Post sexual, pornographic, or sexually exploitative content.
- Post illegal, violent, hateful, harassing, or abusive content.
- Record or share someone without the rights or permission the situation requires.
- Impersonate others, spam, probe, or disrupt the service.
Tomo Studio Ltd may remove content, suspend accounts, or end access when these rules are broken or when required by law. Report abuse, illegal content, or other concerns to support@gettomo.co. In the app you can also use Report Group in group settings. Tomo reviews reports by hand and does not automatically scan every upload.
Liability
Tomo is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Tomo Studio Ltd is not liable for lost clips, downtime, or indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that English law does not allow to be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law gives you a right to use courts in your home country.
Changes
Tomo Studio Ltd may update these terms. The current version stays at this URL with a revised last-updated date. If you keep using Tomo after a change, you accept the updated terms.
